Pause for thought
The voice of a great multitude saying “Alleluia” praise the Lord Almighty, for the triumph of truth and righteousness.
Be glad and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife ( the church Ephesians 5:23 ) Israel is called Gods wife in OT Isaiah 54 1-6. The Church is the one new man in Christ Ephesians 2:15-18, and now no longer strangers but part of the commonwealth of Israel Ephesians 2:11-13, how is this possible? By the blood of Christ Ephesians 2 :13.
John fell at the foot of the Angel in worship, but the angel forbad John reminding him that he although an angel was simply a fellow servant of Jesus. All worship must be towards God. Every true word of prophecy must give a clear witness for Jesus. We must run from exalting any prophetic gift either during preaching or as “a word from the Lord” above the clear testimony of Jesus 19:10
A tale of two feasts As well as the marriage supper to which all who have put their trust in Jesus, are invited, chapter 19 speaks of another feast to which the birds of the air are invited! 19:17-21 these events are soon going to happen. Only those who are washed in the blood of Christ and are clothed in fine linen, and who by Gods grace are made clean through faith in Jesus Christ are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb.
The rider on the white horse is Jesus Christ the sharp sword is the same sword of the Spirit that He used to defeat the devil during the forty days temptation, now He attacks and destroys the nations. The late John Wimber suggested that the Lord will destroy the nations with the words it is written.
A verse to remember
Worship God. For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus. Revelation 19 :10 b
