Jesus only spoke the truth, He is the only one who has ever lived who was qualified to do so because as God He is all knowing John 14:6

Pilate failed to recognise the truth because like Many today he thought that truth was relative, but it is far worse to recognise the truth but fail to heed it 18:38

If there is anything that you find difficult to believe just bring it to God in prayer, Lord I believe help my unbelief Mark 9:24

Jesus is betrayed and arrested John 18:1-27

This band of frightened disciples would undergo severe testing before they were transformed from hesitant followers to dynamic leaders. 18:8

Sometimes like Peter we take matters into our own hands instead of believing that God is in charge. If Peter had had his own way Jesus would not of gone to the cross. And we would still be held by our sins 18:11

The servant girl probably recognised Peters Galilean accent but Peter denied knowing Jesus, Are you easily recognisable as a Christian or are you a silent witness? 18:17

MEMORY VERSE

But Jesus said to Peter “Put your sword back into its sheath. Shall I not drink from the cup my Father has given me?” John 18:11

Jesus prays for His disciples John 17:1-26

PAUSE FOR THOUGHT

Gods glory is the revelation of His character and presence. The lives of Christians are to show Christ’s character, and He is present to the world through them. 17:10

A Christian who doesn’t share the worlds values should not be surprised the world treats them the way it does? 17:14

What does being salt and light to the world mean in practice? 17:18

Jesus teaches about using His Name in Prayer John 16:16-33

PAUSE FOR THOUGHT

The things that make the world rejoice make a Christian sad, but don’t feel like a misfit, Keep your eye on the future and Gods promise! 16:20

God the Father loves you dearly because you love and believe in Jesus 16:27

We are over comers and can take heart because Jesus has already overcome the world 16:33

The work of the Holy Spirit John 16:1-16

PAUSE FOR THOUGHT

The sin that keeps people out of heaven is rejecting Jesus and His sacrifice 16:9

The gift of Righteousness means that through your faith in Jesus you have been made righteous. You received the gift of righteousness not through right living but by right believing! 16:8, 2 Corinthians 5:21

Don’t let your sins or short comings drive you from Jesus, rather they should drive you to Jesus our “Great High Priest” who is seated at the throne of grace in Heaven interceding for us Hebrews 4:16, 7:25

The World system is hostile to Jesus, we can’t avoid this hostility either if we are abiding in the vine 15:19

Should I expect to be treated the same as Jesus? 15:20

Want to be a witness for Jesus? You will with your personal helper testifying at your side 15:26

Jesus did not command His followers to produce fruit! John 15:1-17

The only way we can be fruitful is by abiding in Jesus 15:4

Not a little but without Jesus we can do nothing! 15:5

To abide Means we confidently expect Jesus to produce the fruit 15:7

Jesus promises the Holy Spirit John 14:15-31

The Holy Spirit will continue to do through the church all that Jesus began to do and teach 14:16, Acts 1:1

The Holy Spirit will remind us of the teaching of Jesus 14:26

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is always Christ glorifying never self serving 14:26

Jesus the Way, the Truth, and the Life John 13-31-14:14

Our Heavenly Father was glorified by the death of Jesus, Jesus was gloried by God the Father in His resurrection 13:31-32

“for God so loved the World” This is the foundation of the New Covenant, Gods kind of love can only be found in those who are born again and is the recognition that they are truly followers of Jesus 13:35

It is impossible to continue to walk in darkness and have fellowship with Holy God and our Christian brothers 1John 4:20-21

Never worry there is ample room for every believer we are just patiently waiting to be collected by and anticipating being with Jesus forever! We are certain of this because we know the way! 14:1-6

Jesus washes His disciples feet John 13:1-20

PAUSE FOR THOUGHT

We cannot be saved again and again but we do pick up dirt along the way this is why we only need to have our feet washed 1John 1:9

In doing the menial task of a foot washing servant Jesus showed love and humility, he set an example to be followed He says we are to do to others as He has done to us 13:1

No messenger is greater than the one who sends them Whoever welcomes Christ’s messenger welcomes Him. Christians are simply channels for the Holy Spirit to minister through 13:20

MEMORY VERSE

A person who has bathed all over does not need to wash, except for the feet to be entirely clean John 13:10 N.L.T.
