Revelation 20 The Millennium reign of Jesus Christ.

Pause for thought

The Millennium reign is one thousand years and it happens on the old earth. As well as Christians with new immortal bodies there will be mortals those who have come through the tribulation these will have children and probably live longer than today but still subject to death, According to Isaiah 65:20, sinners will be considered to have lived a short life because they live only one hundred years, because Satan is imprisoned for a thousand years, they cannot be tempted by Satan but are still subject to fleshly temptations.

All Christians will reign with Christ, including but not exclusively the tribulation saints 20:4, Dan 7:22, Matt 19:28, 1Cor 6:2.

The resurrections of the righteous and wicked dead is separated by a thousand years 20:5.

For those who try to water down the existence of hell. Here we have one of the clearest statements about hell in the New Testament, hell is not symbolic, hell is a real place of conscious everlasting punishment 20:10.

Satans army is defeated, Satan is captured and joins the Antichrist and false prophet in hell, could this last battle be the mysterious battle of Ezekiel 38-39?

After being bound throughout the millennium Satan is released, why? to test mortals by deceiving those who are open to his lies, in this way he is able to gather the nations against the rule of Christ. How quickly they will turn against the theocratic benevolent rule of Christ 20:7-10.

The Great White throne judgement is concerned with those who are already spiritually dead not Christians who had already been raised at Christs return one thousand years earlier 20:11-15.

A verse to remember

Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Revelation 20:6 N.K.J.
